Drummond Carpenter, a federal-certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business specializing in water, infrastructure, nuclear, environment, and data intelligence solutions, celebrated the expansion of its Maitland headquarters today with a ribbon cutting celebration. The company intends to create 30 high-wage jobs over the next five years.
“By investing in our headquarters and adding talented professionals here, we will broaden our national reach while continuing to develop practical, data-driven solutions for communities facing complex environmental and infrastructure challenges,” said Chad Drummond, PE, BCEE, president of Drummond Carpenter.
Founded in Orlando in 2016 before moving to Maitland in late 2025 to accommodate its growth, Drummond Carpenter has more than 45 employees providing services on approximately 450 projects in over 25 states.
The company’s 2,500-square-foot expansion at 630 N. Wymore Road will accommodate additional engineers and other highly skilled professionals as it grows its national footprint from nine to 12 offices.
The Orlando Business Journal ranked the certified Small Business Enterprise and Service-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise with Orange County No. 7 on its 2025 Fast 50 list of Central Florida’s fastest-growing companies. In August 2026, Florida Trend ranked it the #14 best small company to work for In Florida.
“The County’s decision to award bonus points to proposals submitted by veterans or companies with veterans serving as primes gave us the early momentum we needed to build a pipeline of impactful projects and credibility as top players in our region,” said Drummond.

The firm’s engineers, geologists, scientists, and technical professionals provide civil, environmental, and water resources engineering and consulting to public, private, and non-profit clients. By expanding at its home base, the company is adding career opportunities and capacity in industries that help communities address infrastructure, water, environmental, and resilience challenges.
