Chad Drummond, P.E., D.WRE, BCEE, is a senior practitioner in water resources and environmental engineering and President of Drummond Carpenter. Chad is the past Chairperson of a leading mid-sized consulting firm’s internal water and natural resources practice group and has more than 18 years of experience in environmental restoration, hydrogeologic and water quality modeling, and water resources protection. He is recognized as a Diplomate, Water Resources Engineer (D.WRE) by the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers and is a Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE).
 
Chad’s techical background includes contaminant and nutrient fate and transport, groundwater/surface water interaction, wetland rehydration and springs protection, and hydrogeologic and water quality modeling. He has worked on projects for various impaired waters and has evaluated contaminant and nutrient migration to and from both surface water bodies and groundwater. He also has extensive applied experience designing and implementing remediation technologies to restore the environment. Chad has provided these and other technical services for municipal, private, agricultural, and water management district clients as well as expert witness support to attorneys.
 
In addition to his consulting practice, Chad has served as an adjunct professor at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan, and at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. He routinely presents his water resources and environmental restoration work in peer-reviewed journals and at technical conferences across the United States. Chad is active in several professional societies, including the National Ground Water Association, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Florida Stormwater Association, the American Water Resources Association, and the Environmental and Land Use Law Section of The Florida Bar. He currently serves as Editor of ASCE’s Environmental and Water Resources Institute publication “EWRI Currents.”
